ROTTEN SOUND And SAYYADINA To Team Up For 'Grind Your Face Off' European Tour

October 25, 2005

Finland's ROTTEN SOUND and Sweden's SAYYADINA will be teamng up for the first edition of the "Grind Your Face Off" festival tour beginning in early January. "Grind Your Face Off" is a series of extreme music tours focusing on grindcore, one the most extreme music styles ever invented — a combination of the attitude and aggression of punk and hardcore and the heaviness and brutality of death metal.

ROTTEN SOUND was formed on 1993 and has released 13 recordings so far, including four full-length albums, one DVD and numerous smaller releases. Their last effort, "Exit" (Spinefarm Records) CD/LP, received many rave reviews around the world and made it to Finnish charts for three weeks after it was released. The previous full-length, "Murderworks", was originally released in 2002 through Century Media Records (in Europe) and is now being reissued by Relapse Records. ROTTEN SOUND has a great deal of touring experience, including numerous tours in Europe, two U.S. tours and many festivals on both continents.

SAYYADINA has been around for five years and their debut full-length, "Fear Gave Us Wings", came out one year ago. SAYYADINA includes current and/or former members of such bands as NASUM, BIRDFLESH, GENERAL SURGERY, JIGSORE TERROR and VICTIMS. The band have already done four European tours and appeared at several extreme festivals.
